Jen Schimbeno

About Me: I find that I need a lot of opposites in my life. I thrive on people and connecting but I need my alone time just as much if not more. I like being active but find great pleasure from lounging at home on the couch ALL DAY LONG. (Speaking of, our lounge couch needs replacing, if anyone loves their couch give me a shout would love some recommendations). Until recently, I only read non-fiction. I felt like if I was going to read I should be learning and growing. If you need any book recommendations on self help, relationships, money, goal planning or anything business reach out-I am your girl!

I am part business owner to two companies Blackmore Financial Solutions and Bozeman Cleaning Services, a wife to Brock, and we have a 2.5 year old daughter Joelle that we love even though we are in a phase that seems to be kicking our ass a quite a little bit. Thank god she’s an incredible sleeper but oh how I underestimated the strong will of a tiny human that’s rocking pull-ups!
I am highly motivated by helping others reach their dreams. I am self motivated when it comes to work and growing our businesses, but I find it much more enjoyable when I have others that are striving for greater, bigger, better things around me too. I don’t tend to enjoy operating businesses by myself, not because I don’t believe I can, but more because I believe things operate better with a partner.

How I serve my people:
What a question. Man, I am not even sure how to answer this so I asked some people around me the ways that I serve them best and here were some of my favorite answers;
“you are an incredible listener and if I need to think through how to make something happen, you are my go-to”
“you are everyone’s biggest cheerleader and believe in me when sometimes I don’t believe in myself.”
“your passion for life, success and others is contagious and I am a better version of myself because of you.”

A challenge I am facing that I could use some community help on

A little context;
For those of you that did not know, I have partnered with our former nanny, Gabby to help her launch a business. She is 20 and was thinking about going and being an employee of another company to do post-construction cleaning. She thought it was a great market here given the growth, she loves work she can see her progress and enjoys being active. During covid when I was working from home we spent a lot of time together while Joelle was napping. One day I asked her, Gabby why don’t you just launch a business and go out on your own? She was hesitant in starting her own business because it felt daunting. Together we mapped it out and worked through the challenges and created a game plan. I told her I would be happy to back her financially and cover the upfront costs of insurances that were required and the equipment needed. It’s all been pretty awesome.

The Ask

What we could use some help on is getting introductions to more builders, developers, commercial building owners, and potentially realtors so that Gabby can focus more on post-construction cleaning and more commercial cleanings.
Why we need your help;

The goal is to continue growing this business and paying anyone that we hire wages that set a new norm instead of following suite in requiring people here to do the “Bozeman Hustle” and work three jobs to make ends meet. I am proud to say we are in the midst of hiring our next team member that with our structure she is going to be able to quit the two jobs she was working before, work less hours and make MORE!
So yes, if you had intros to anyone that would be a good contact for us we would LOVE an intro!
