Amber Ikeman

Tell us a little bit about yourself in 3-4 sentences:

Amber Ikeman is a heart-opener, community-builder, expectation-wrestler, and innovative leader who creates transcendent experiences through music.
An award-winning folk singer/songwriter, she has toured all over the U.S. and parts of Canada with two original albums. Amber is also the Cantorial Soloist/Music Director at Congregation Beth Shalom in Bozeman, where she elevates prayer and life-cycle events with song, serves as a guide for her students’ spiritual wrestling, and cultivates connection and engagement through temple communications and outreach, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Gallatin Valley Interfaith Association. Tell us a little bit about how you serve your people, in 2-3 sentences:

Empowering others, helping people feel seen, cultivating self-acceptance and authenticity, and offering healing are central to my work in the world. I lead workshops on self-expression, vulnerability, body positivity, and self-acceptance for teen girls in particular. One of my favorite activities is singing with Threshold Choir, which offers peace and comfort for those on the thresholds of living and dying.

What are you wanting to offer this community?

I would love to offer a warm and welcoming presence at the reception desk, opportunities for community members to explore their true selves, and authentic connection between community members.
